Core Advantages

Six Things That Make a Difference

Each of these reflects a deliberate choice about how we practice — and why clients return to us for subsequent matters or recommend us to others.

We Listen Before We Advise

Every matter begins with a careful conversation — not a standard intake form. We take time to understand the full picture before offering any view.

English Throughout

All advice, documents, and correspondence are provided in clear English. No intermediary translator is needed — you follow every step of your own matter directly.

Known Costs in Advance

Consultation and drafting fees are set and stated upfront. For complex matters, costs are outlined at each stage before work begins — no unexpected charges.

One Consistent Practitioner

You deal with the same person from first contact to completion. There is no passing between departments, no repeating your situation to someone new.

Written Records Provided

After each consultation, you receive a plain-language written summary. You are never relying on memory alone to recall what was discussed or decided.

Local to Phuket

We are based in Phuket and understand the particular circumstances — legal, cultural, and practical — that arise for people living or settling here.

In More Detail

What Each Benefit Means in Practice

Depth of Legal Knowledge

Our principal solicitor has practised family law in Thailand for over fifteen years. That experience covers a wide range of circumstances — from relatively straightforward arrangements to matters involving competing claims, international elements, or complex financial situations.

This depth means that even when a situation is unusual, we have likely encountered something comparable before. We draw on that background to offer a considered view, not a textbook answer.

  • Registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand
  • Fifteen+ years' practice in family law, Phuket
  • Experience with Thai and international family matters
  • Current knowledge of Thai family law developments
  • Structured process with clear stages
  • Client informed before each step
  • No unexplained delays or changes
  • Written summaries at each consultation

A Process You Can Follow

We map out what to expect at the start of every engagement. That means you know what happens first, what follows, and roughly how long each stage takes — so nothing is a surprise.

This structured approach also means that if circumstances change, we can adjust clearly rather than ad hoc. The process serves the client, not the other way around.

Transparent, Reasonable Fees

Legal fees are a concern for most people. At Panya Law, we set clear figures for consultations (฿4,500) and agreement drafting (฿9,900) so there is no uncertainty. For full representation (฿17,500), we outline costs at each stage in writing before proceeding.

We do not charge for brief follow-up questions after a consultation, and we do not add costs that were not discussed. What we quote is what you pay.

  • Set fee for consultation: ฿4,500
  • Set fee for agreement drafting: ฿9,900
  • Stage-by-stage cost outline for representation
  • No hidden additions or surprise invoices

What Sets Us Apart

Distinctive Features of Our Practice

International and Expatriate Experience

A significant share of our work involves matters where one or both parties are non-Thai. We understand how Thai family law intersects with foreign nationality, property, and agreements — and we communicate this clearly in English.

No Obligation at First Consultation

A consultation is an opportunity to understand your position — not a commitment to instruct us. Many clients come simply to know where they stand, and we welcome that.

Plain Language Documents

Legal documents drafted by Panya Law are written to be understood by the people signing them — not just by lawyers. We include plain-language explanations alongside technical provisions.

Discretion as Standard

Family matters are sensitive by nature. We maintain strict client confidentiality as a matter of professional principle — not just as a policy statement on a website.
