Our Story

Where Panya Law Began

Panya Law grew from a recognition that people facing family matters in Phuket often had few places to turn for calm, thorough support. The city draws people from across Thailand and the world — yet the intersection of Thai law and international family circumstances can be difficult to navigate without guidance from someone who genuinely listens.

The practice was founded with a simple conviction: that the law is there to protect people, and the role of a family lawyer is to make that protection accessible — without jargon, without pressure, and without losing sight of the person behind the case.

Over the years, Panya Law has supported individuals, couples, and families through a range of matters, from early-stage consultations to complex formal proceedings. Each engagement is shaped around what the client actually needs — not what is easiest or quickest to deliver.

Our Mission

What Guides Our Work

Our mission is to provide family legal support that is thorough, honest, and attuned to the emotional weight these matters carry. We do not rush, we do not oversimplify, and we do not lose sight of the fact that behind every file is a person navigating something significant.

We work in English throughout, which means that clients — whether Thai nationals, expatriates, or international visitors — can follow every step of their matter without relying on interpretation.

Our Standards

How We Maintain Quality

Family law requires more than legal knowledge. It demands careful process, honest communication, and an unwavering focus on what each client genuinely needs.

Thai Bar Registration

All solicitors at Panya Law are registered members of the Lawyers Council of Thailand and hold current practising certificates.

Client Confidentiality

Every matter is handled under strict professional secrecy. Client information is never shared without consent, and all records are held securely.

Written Summaries

Following each consultation, we provide a written record of the options discussed — so you can reflect on the information without relying on memory.

Thorough Case Review

Before any formal steps are taken, we review the full picture of your situation — documents, circumstances, and objectives — to ensure nothing is overlooked.

Data Protection

Client data is stored and handled in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We take your privacy seriously and explain how information is used.

Consistent Communication

We respond to enquiries promptly and keep clients informed at each stage — no unexplained delays, no unanswered questions left hanging.

Our Values

What Family Law Practice Looks Like at Panya Law

Family matters — consultations, marital agreements, and full representation — call for a particular kind of attention. The law provides a framework, but each situation involves real people with distinct circumstances, relationships, and concerns. At Panya Law, we approach every engagement with that in mind.

Our practice covers the range of matters that arise within family life under Thai law, including prenuptial and postnuptial arrangements, guidance through separation or divorce, and formal proceedings where full representation is required. We work in English throughout, which is important for international clients and expatriates in Phuket who need to follow their own matter without relying on a third party to interpret.

Phuket has a particular character: a place where Thai nationals, long-term expatriates, and international visitors all have roots and relationships. The legal needs that arise from this mix — where one partner may be Thai and another a foreign national, where assets span jurisdictions, where family structures are shaped by different cultural backgrounds — require a practitioner who understands both the legal framework and the human reality.

We have developed our practice around these circumstances. Our knowledge of Thai family law is current and thorough; our approach is unhurried and attentive. We believe that the most useful thing we can offer is clarity — a plain account of the options, the process, and the realistic outcomes, delivered without pressure or exaggeration.

Panya Law is not a large firm. That is a deliberate choice. We maintain a small, consistent team so that clients always deal with someone who knows their situation, and so that the standard of attention does not vary. When you work with us, the person who takes your initial call is the same person who handles your matter to completion.
