Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 12 May 2025 · Effective Date: 12 May 2025
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the basis on which Panya Law provides legal services to clients and the use of our website at panyalaw.cyou. By engaging our services or using this website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not proceed.
Panya Law is a family law practice registered and operating in Thailand. Our address is 110 Phuket Road, Talat Yai, Phuket 83000. You may contact us at [email protected] or by telephone at +66 76 341 285.
2. Nature of Legal Services
Panya Law provides legal advice and representation in family law matters under Thai law. Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Family guidance consultations — a private first meeting to review your situation and outline available options.
- Marital agreement drafting — preparation of pre- or post-nuptial agreements in clear, accessible terms.
- Full representation and case handling — comprehensive management of formal family law matters requiring sustained legal support.
The advice and assistance we provide relates to Thai law only. If your matter involves foreign law or has an international dimension, we will advise you of this and, where appropriate, refer you to suitable counsel in the relevant jurisdiction.
3. Client Engagement
3.1 Instructions and Scope
A formal client relationship begins when we issue and you confirm a client care letter or engagement agreement, which sets out the scope of the work, the fee basis, and any relevant terms specific to your matter. Until that confirmation is received, no solicitor–client relationship exists and no reliance should be placed on preliminary discussions.
3.2 Your Responsibilities
To allow us to assist you effectively, we ask that you:
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely information relevant to your matter.
- Inform us promptly of any changes in your circumstances that may affect our advice or the conduct of your case.
- Respond to requests for instructions or information within a reasonable time.
- Treat all members of our team with courtesy and respect.
We accept no responsibility for advice given or outcomes affected by incomplete or inaccurate information provided to us.
4. Fees and Payments
4.1 Fee Basis
Our fees are set out in the engagement agreement for each matter. Where fixed fees apply, the amount and what is included are stated clearly. Where work is charged at an hourly rate, we will provide an estimate at the outset and inform you if that estimate is likely to be exceeded.
4.2 Payment Terms
Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to suspend work on a matter if an invoice remains unpaid beyond this period, after providing notice to you. Overdue amounts may attract interest at the applicable statutory rate under Thai law.
4.3 Disbursements
Court fees, notarisation costs, translation fees, and similar out-of-pocket expenses incurred in connection with your matter will be charged in addition to our professional fees. We will seek your agreement before incurring significant disbursements.
4.4 Currency
All fees and charges are quoted and payable in Thai Baht (฿) unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
5. Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality in respect of all client information and communications. We will not disclose information about your matter to any third party without your consent, except where required by law, court order, or our professional obligations under Thai law. For full details of how we handle personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our liability to you arises from, and is limited to, the scope of work described in our engagement agreement. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on preliminary or informal discussions that did not form part of a confirmed client engagement, nor for outcomes in proceedings that are beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Thai law.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, and structure — is the property of Panya Law or its licensors. You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt any part of this website for any other purpose without our prior written consent.
Legal documents and advice prepared for you remain subject to our copyright until fees are settled in full. Upon settlement, documents prepared for your matter pass to you for personal use in relation to that matter.
8. Website Use
This website is provided for general information about Panya Law and our services. Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice, and no reliance should be placed on its content as a substitute for obtaining specific professional advice.

9. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or our services shall first be referred to good-faith discussion between the parties. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Thailand.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version is always available on this website. Continued use of our services or website following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
